Welcome to our Wye Valley Chamber Music Festival 2026. Our annual selection of concerts to give warmth and light in the middle of the dark British winter.

Our Festival this year celebrates the influence of composers as teachers and mentors for the generations that followed them. Each concert includes pieces from both sides of this important relationship. Historically, different schools of composition and instrumental technique would flourish in different countries or regions. At the same time, certain figures gained great standing as pedagogues, students often travelling hundreds, even thousands of miles to study with them. A rich interweaving of distinct musical voices was thus made possible.

It is a joy for us to return to our residency in Treowen, just outside Monmouth. Nowhere else do we find such an inspiring group of people coming together, magnificently talented, but also committed and down-to-earth. The musical family we have built over the years is also now supporting a new generation of artists who will benefit from our events.

We do hope you’ll join us to experience the magic at some of our concerts this February.
