Summer Residency – OPEN DAY

Students: Elmore Quartet, Elgar Ensemble (piano trio), Saorsa Quartet, Yang Bai & Verena Koay (violin & piano duo).

Our Open Day in the lovely surroundings of Treowen Manor gives our supporters a chance to immerse themselves in music for a whole day! With masterclasses in the morning you will get to see first hand the hard work and dedication of our resident young musicians and observe the experience and knowledge of our wonderful guest tutors. After a delicious lunch and walks in the gardens a concert given by our illustrious tutors will round off the day!

Britten – String Quartet no. 2, Brahms – String Quartet in A minor, Op 51 No. 2, Poulenc – Sonata for Violin and Piano, Bridge – Phantasie in C Minor for Piano Trio

Lutoslawski – ‘Bucolics’ for Viola and Cello

Robin Ireland – ‘Ode to a Caged Bird’ for Solo Viola
