Summer Residency 2022
The Summer Residency 2022 was back to its former glory with a full house of talented young musicians and eminent professors in residence at Treowen Manor. A week of intensive coaching was bookended with two public concerts and a day of public masterclasses, so there were ample performing opportunities for students. It wasn’t all work, work, work though. With the beautiful surroundings of the Wye Valley on their doorstop and the delicious food served up by our resident cook, there was plenty of time to rest and soak up the atmosphere.
The only fly in the ointment was the absence of Artistic Director Daniel Tong who caught Covid just days before the course started! Thankfully he didn’t suffer with it and was able to keep a handle on the artistic side remotely!

Our Open Day in the lovely surroundings of Treowen Manor gave our supporters a chance to immerse themselves in music for a whole day! With masterclasses in the morning they got to see first hand the hard work and dedication of our resident young musicians and observe the experience and knowledge of our wonderful guest tutors. After a delicious lunch and walks in the gardens a concert was given by our illustrious tutors to round off the day!
