Wye Valley Chamber Music September Series
The annual series of chamber music concerts - given by some of the most exciting young artists from the UK and abroad - was supplemented again in 2007 by a short series of three concerts given in September. Dates, venues and artists were as follows:
Concert 1 - Dore Abbey (a new venue for us) - Friday, 7th September, 7:30pm
Mozart:	Piano Trio in C K.548 - Matthew Truscott (violin), Sarah McMahon (cello), Daniel Tong (piano).
Schubert:	Sonata (Duo) in A major for Violin and Piano D.574 - Matthew Truscott (violin), Daniel Tong (piano).
Brahms:	Piano Quartet no.2 in A major op.26 - Florence Cooke (violin), Tom Dunn (viola), Sarah McMahon (cello), Daniel Tong (piano).
Concert 2 - St Briavels Church - Saturday, 8th September, 7:30pm
Beethoven:	Violin Sonata in A major op.47 'Kreutzer' - Florence Cooke (violin), Daniel Tong (piano).
Janacek:	String Quartet no.1 'Kreutzer Sonata' - Florence Cooke & Matthew Truscott (violins), Tom Dunn (viola), Sarah McMahon (cello).
Concert 3 - Hellens Manor - Sunday, 9th September, 5:00pm
Bach:	Partita no.1 in B minor for solo violin BWV.1002 - Matthew Truscott (violin).
Beethoven:	Serenade in D major for String Trio op.8 - Florence Cooke (violin), Tom Dunn (viola), Sarah McMahon (cello).
Schubert:	String Quintet in C major D.956 - Matthew Truscott & Florence Cooke (violins), Tom Dunn (viola), Sarah McMahon & Aoife Nic Athlaoich (cellos).
