Since its inception in 2000, the Wye Valley Chamber Music Festival has grown into a truly important event in the cultural calendar of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, presenting chamber music concerts of the highest quality in intimate venues.

Throughout its growth, Wye Valley Chamber Music has retained its unique character, founded on the passion of all those who are involved, from performers to the cooks and helpers, all of whom receive nothing for their time and energy other than the enormous pleasure of being involved in wonderful concerts and, of course, the sociable hospitality which the residency provides. It says everything that artists of international calibre want to return year-on-year.

Now more than ever Wye Valley Chamber Music relies on the goodwill and generosity of its audience to carry on into the future and create an enduring stronghold in the Wye Valley.

    Some of the most special and inspiring moments of my musical life have been spent at the Wye Valley Festival. The chance to spend time with great music and wonderful artists in private, and to hear masterpieces performed with such understanding and commitment, is priceless. The enormous amount of work that has gone into making Wye Valley Chamber Music flourish for the first ten years is always repaid with the pleasure and inspiration it gives to others, musicians and audience alike.
