Fiona McNaught - violin

Photo of Fiona McNaught Fiona McNaught is one of the UKs most distinguished young violinists.

She has a long-standing duo partnership with co-director Daniel Tong. They have received awards from the Tillett, Tunnell, Craxton and Maisie Lewis Trusts, and performed at the Brighton, Newbury , Cheltenham and Warwick Festivals. They regularly give recitals at London's major venues, and performed the complete Sonatas by Beethoven in concerts across the country in 2002.

For 2 years Fiona was a member of the Allegri String Quartet.

Recent concerto appearances included works by Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Vivaldi, Mozart, Saint-Saens and Prokofiev.

Fiona plays on a Carlo Gagliano violin from 1787, obtained with generous support from the Abbado Trust. She studied with David Takeno at the Guildhall School.
